Meshing should be performed so that the original CAD geometry is maintained as much as possible. However, if the number of elements is few, the mesh is often distant from the CAD geometry and results in the surface of the mesh collapsing. When this happens, the user must remesh the model using more elements or manually modify the collapsed mesh, which is very time consuming. TSV-PRE has a function that automatically controls the offset value of the mesh from the CAD geometry so that it stays within the user defined tolerance value. Also, if second order elements with midnodes are used, TSV-PRE has a function that projects the midnodes on the CAD geometry.
