A presentation involving TechnoStar contributors was delivered at IEEE CEFC 2026, held in Thessaloniki, Greece from June 7 to 10, 2026.
The study evaluated rotor eccentricity effects in electric motors using a combined three-dimensional rotordynamic and electromagnetic finite element approach.
The analysis addressed:
- Dynamic eccentricity
- Relationship with unbalanced magnetic pull
- Correlation with rotor displacement and critical frequencies

- Title
Rotor Eccentricity Effects on Electric Motors via a Combined Rotordynamic/Electromagnetic Method
- Abstract
This work presents a combined three-dimensional rotordynamic and electromagnetic finite element analysis to investigate the influence of dynamic eccentricity in electric motors. The critical frequencies and rotor displacement are explicitly correlated with the unbalanced magnetic pull. This approach enables the acquisition of more realistic and physics-oriented results.
